Feel free to still join us for the Kentucky Derby at the LampHouse rooftop indoor/outdoor facilty on Main St.  Late signups just bring ALL YOUR OWN food and beverage. (Parking behind the building on Cross St and in Library overflow lot. Elevator to the rooftop is inside the the door at the Southwest corner of the Parking Lot.) Weather will not be a factor. Games  and social hour will commence at 3:00 til post time at 5:45 PM. Please wear your Sunday best, keep your Easter Bonnet or get a new one.  There will be prizes for the best hat and jockey attire. Neil is providing Mint Julips !!!

WEATHER RESCHEDULE! TO TUES- 06/10 .Please join us for an evening on Lake Mendota cruising with the "Midnight Splash". We will leave the docks at Skipper Bud's around 5:30 and return around 8:30 PM. This is a BYO food and beverage event. There are grills on the boat for frying steaks if you desire.

Summer Fellowship Wednesdays at the Waunakee Farmers Market . 100 East Main St - 4-7 PM  Enjoy shopping for fresh produc, " Live music" and socializing at shaded tables.

Please indicate if you would be interested in going to the 1st Packer Practice of the season. Lammers only sends a big bus that far. A 56 passenger coach is.$1,575, plus paking fee + tip if warranted..  56 People  56 = $28.15/person.  30 people = $52.50 for the bus, plus parking fee and tip if warranted. Total costs would be from $35 to 62.50/person. Please inddicate if you want to go and we can get numbers.

The Rotary Food booth will be cooking and serving pizza, pretzels and meatball subs. There will be soft drinks, water and kettle corn. Lundy's and Rotary will be scooping 4 flavors of ice cream. Please sign up for a shift if you are able!

Here is a little more information with regards to “Dinner with Friends”

In Rotary, Dinner with Friends (sometimes called "Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner" or "Rotary Dinner Groups") is a fellowship activity designed to strengthen connections among members. The format can vary by club, but here’s how it typically works — especially if you’re keeping it to no more than five couples:

Basic Structure

• Group Size: Usually 3–5 couples (6–10 people total) gather for one dinner. This keeps the gathering intimate and manageable.
• Hosts & Guests: One couple volunteers to host at their home (or sometimes at a restaurant). The other couples attend as guests.
• Rotation: Over time, the hosting responsibility rotates so everyone gets a chance to both host and attend as well as be assigned to different groups

How Pairings Work

• Random Assignments: Often, couples are randomly assigned into dinner groups to encourage members to get to know people outside their usual circle.
• Rotation Each Round: Each new dinner, the groups are reshuffled so you dine with different members.
• Confidential Until the Night: In some formats, guests don’t know who the other couples will be until they arrive, which adds a fun surprise element. (We could skip this and be more structured with who is hosting with time date and location)

Dinner Format

• Meal Style: The host usually provides the main course. Guests may bring appetizers, sides, or dessert to share.
• Evening Style: It’s a relaxed social evening — no business agenda, just fellowship and conversation.
• Entertainment: Hosts make it fun for everyone.
• Frequency: Many clubs do this quarterly or every couple of months.

Why "No More Than 5 Couples"?

• Keeps the group small enough for real conversation.
• Fits comfortably into most homes.
• Ensures everyone can meaningfully interact rather than splitting into side groups.
