Waunakee Rotary Club members may have noticed some changes to their recent bills. At the July 23 meeting, Club Treasurer Cyndi Kennedy explained some of the accounting changes and the overall fee structure.
The switch was made to Quick Books, and next quarter, Cyndi hopes to have just one bill go out. But she shared the Rotary International’s bill for the club, which includes charges between $800 to $1,000 for credit cards. Cindy said we can avoid this fee if members pay by check, cash or ACH. There are also charges for things like dues, the Rotary Magazine. Rotarians can save the $9 fee for the magazine by opting for an online copy instead by logging into their account on Clubrunner. This is especially useful for couples in the club, like Cindy and Bill, who don't want two copies of the magazine arriving to their home.
There was also discussion about the meals. The $20 per meal charge covers more than just an entree, beverage and dessert. It also includes the event space and the meal service. A minimum of 30 meals per Rotarian is charged just to pay for the space that we use each week.
