Waunakee Rotary Newsletter Oct. 28, 2021
The Waunakee Rotary Club met for club assembly Oct. 28, and committees reported on their projects.
Mick Holm said the international committee is looking at the grant window for an international project to partner with other clubs on. If you have ideas, let the committee members know.
The Christmas party is planned for Jan. 13, Bob Klostermann said of fellowship said.
The membership committee is planning a new member get-together. There was some discussion about whether to reinstate the monthly morning Rotary meetings Bob Pulvermacher held before he passed. If a member would like to head this up, let the board of directors know.
The next fundraiser is Rotary in Lights. The real push to get all the lights up will start Nov. 8 and many volunteers will be needed.
The youth committee has sent scholarship applications to area high school guidance counselors.
The community service committee announced an opportunity for the club to partner with the Knights of Columbus helping older adults with yard work and projects Nov. 6 and two additional days.
Ken Ballweg of the meetings and public relations committee asked whether the club is meeting Dec. 23 and 30. The speaker next week is Waunakee Police Chief Adam Kreitzman, so it should be a good program.
