Waunakee Rotary Newsletter Feb. 1, 2024

Home sellers have a chance to increase their profit if they spend a little money on renovation.

Adam Erdmann with Renovation Sells helps them through that process.

Adam spoke to the Waunakee Rotary Club at the Feb. 1 meeting about the company and how he works with sellers and their realtors to update their homes so they sell at a higher asking price.

A Dane County resident since 2006, he and his partner moved to Waunakee in 2020 to a home that backs up to Six Mile Creek.

He said nearly half of all millennials would rather max out their budget to buy a home in need of no updates so they don’t have to pay for it or go through the process.

A home that would sell as-is for $675,000 can be sold for $830,000 with an investment of  $60,000 on updates to the kitchen and bathrooms.

Renovation Sells can arrange financing to cover the cost with 6 months no interest, too.

They also do renovations for people who plan to stay in their home, and for buyers who would like their new home updated prior to moving in.

“The goal is minimum investment and maximum return,” Adam said.

The process usually takes about six weeks.
