The Waunakee Rotary Club met in committee June 10 as the members heard a little about its strategic planning. About half of the club filled out a membership survey, Jim Elvekrog and Lisa Humenik said. Jim and Lisa presented the results, along with a SWOT analysis. Committee members were then asked to provide specific ways in which it can help the club reach its goals.
The mission of Rotary is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance peace through the fellowship of business, professional and community leaders.
Rotary’s vision is to be a dynamic and inclusive service club that leads the community in improving the lives of others both locally and statewide through service and fellowship.
The priorities for the Waunakee Club include:
- increasing membership to at least 100 members with a level of diversity and reflects or exceeds that of the community.
-engaging members in local and international projects that improve lives, build fellowship and friends and increase members satisfaction.
-achieve fundraising at a level that meets the need for current/planned projects and future sustainability.
-develop the next generation of Rotary members.
-ensure that club governing/operational documents of history archives are updated and maintained.
Committees were asked to provide ways in which they can help the club achieve those priorities.
