Rotary Pier Project

Our Rotary club has been working toward a handicap pier for the last decade. We felt with the wrap up of several large capital campaigns, including the Waunakee Public Library, Shumacher farms, athletic field(s)” etc this would be an excellent sesqui-centennial (don’t know if I spelled this correctly) project for both Rotary and the Village. Several Rotarians have been meeting since the beginning of the year with the Village to move this project forward which was formally approved on November 4^th. The ADA compliant pier will provide access to the pond for not only fishing but wildlife viewing and just simple relaxing for all ages and mobility.
