With the speaker, Dave Hogg, canceling due to an illness, the Waunakee Rotary meeting was shortened on Feb. 20.
After lunch and fellowship, the following announcements were made.
About 10 tickets are left for the Super Raffle, so if you haven’t purchased yours, see John Cullen.
The Brewer outing for the opening day game against the Cubs is set for March 26. You can purchase your tickets on StubHub, Bob Klostermann said. The Lone Girl still has seats on the bus left to reserve.
Bob also said the Senior Center takes a bus to the games each month and Rotarians can sign up for that bus.
Rex Endres reported that the Whitetails event was a success.
Linda Olson attended the district grant program and said the district will have about $105,000 to distribute in grants. If you have a project that might qualify, talk to her. The grants fund projects costing up to $30,000, and the club is eligible for $5,000 for projects it undertakes on its own or more if it partners with other clubs.
Next week, District Governor Edwin Bos will be the speaker. Let’s hope he doesn’t get Dave’s cold.
