Waunakee Rotary issues Shelter-Box Donation Challenge

In light if recent disasters in Haiti and elsewhere, a generous Waunakee Rotarian has made a donation and issued a challenge to all members to make a donation towards the purchase of a Shelter-Box.  The Waunakee Rotary Foundation will match donations up to $1,000 total between now and the end of 2016.  Checks should be made to Waunakee Rotary Foundation with a note stating the funds are for a Shelter Box.  Mail your check to P.O. Box 159, Waunakee, WI 53597.  The Waunakee Rotary Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization and donations may be tax-deductible.

Shelter Box is an international relief organization that provides emergency shelter and vital supplies to support communities around the world overwhelmed by disaster and humanitarian crisis.  Shelter Box aid is tailored to a disaster but typically includes a disaster relief tent for a family, thermal blankets and groundsheets, water storage and purification equipment, solar lamps, cooking utensils, a basic tool kit, mosquito nets and children’s activity pack.  For more information visit www.shelterboxusa.org
