The Waunakee Rotary experimented with a hybrid format for its Jan. 27 meeting, so those at Rex’s could see the folks attending remotely, and vice versa. Hopefully, this new format will allow the most participation among the members. President Ross Mauer is sending emails prior to the meetings, so if you want to log in from home or work or wherever, look out for them.
The members held club assembly at the meeting, and the following is a round-up of all of the committee’s reports:
Membership – Be sure to reach to anyone you think might like to join and invite them to a meeting.
Meetings and public relations – Speakers are booked out through the end of March.
Community service – We learned about the District grant management seminar set for Feb. 23. In order to apply for grants, clubs need to send a representative to one of these each year. Also, the White Tails fundraiser is Feb. 22.
Also, the Tri-Con district conference, with three districts, is April 29-30 in Elkhart.
RYLA, the Rotary Youth Leadership academy, is set for May 19-22.
Youth and vocational – Scholarship applications are due April 7. A new nomination process is being discussed for the Business Person of the Year award. It may be different this year.
