As part of club assembly for the month, Waunakee Rotary Club members met with their committee for the Dec. 29 meeting. Committee chairs then gave reports of the work as follows:

-Community service: Rotarians will take down the Rotary in Lights display on Jan. 7. If you want to help, plan to show up at Village Park at 9 a.m. The club thanked Ray Statz for installing a steel cable along the ballfield to hang the lights from. They remained secure in the recent high winds.

Also, the solar light equipment has arrived and can be installed.

-Fundraising: The Rotary in Lights is the main one now. Collections are a little behind last year, but Christmas Eve and Christmas were big evenings.

-Meetings and programs: Speakers are booked through March.

-Education and vocational: Information about Rotary scholarship is getting out. The high school guidance counselor is lining up students for the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy.

International: This committee is looking to partner with other clubs on projects to help Ukraine. Also, the club has donated funds to support a portable library in Guatemala.

-Fellowship: Keep the Feb. 9 50th anniversary party on your calendar. It will be in the library community room. The club is looking for music, maybe a high school string section. Also, if you have stories from the 50 years of Rotary, be sure to tell them.
