Except for the members, no one showed up to the Oct. 14 Waunakee Rotary, not the speaker, guests or visitors. So we chatted and heard some reports.
Mick Holm said Food for Kidz was a success with 200,000 meals packaged. About 150,000 will go to Haiti, along with soccer equipment donated.
Work will continue on the Rotary Lights display Saturday. Lights can be put on fences but not on the ground as the Girls on the Run 5K route will take the runners through the park Nov. 6. Show up at Village Park if you can to help.

Other than that, not much to report. Al Dassow suggested your newsletter writer “just make something up,” but unlike some journalists, I’m holding on to my integrity. Hope you all had a good lunch with your fellow Rotarians. If you were fortunate like I was, you had a chance to get to know some of the new members a little better.
